Connections

Telefakt uses connections as a group of product instances that as a whole constitute a customer's connection. A connection has a special number called a connection or circuit ID, that uniqely defines this set of lines in GlobalConnect.

These product instances are arragned in a hierarchy so that a single product instance consists of/is constituted by one or more product or service instances. These instances can either be resource facing, normally called RFS, or customer facing, termed CFS. You can read more about products and services here.

Connections are made available in the API via the V_CONNECTION view. This view is based on three primary tables in the DBO schema, namely CONNECTIONS, ACCESSES and CONNECTIONSLINEIDS. These tables are all updated regularly with the UPDATECONNECTIONS procedure.
