Contact
Contacts are objects that belong to a customer and represent a person (or a position/role) at the customer. Contacts are used to store names, phone-numbers, emails and positions/roles of people. Contacts are used as recipients of items and owners of objects, these items can be invoices, emails, orders and more.
Invoice destinations
A customer can receive invoices in different ways, some are not relevant for contacts, like EHF, EFaktura and paper, while email - pdf and email - excel are and we can define contacts as recipients of these invoices.

Notifications
Contacts can also be configured to be recipients of different types of notifications and they can receive them in different formats as well. Below is a screenshot from WebTelefakt showing all the notification settings configured on a single customer, here we can see that the contact Jarle Vestrheim will receive Invoice reminders, Alerts on common faults and Alerts of planned work by email and the two alerts he will also recieve by SMS. The Test kontakt will recieve a SMS alert for the Alerts on common faults only.
A customer can be configured to either receive notifications themselves or to send their notifications to their bill recipient. This enables easier control of notification settings for customers that are sub-customers or other type of parent/child relationships. In the above example the customer is set to receive notifications themselves, if they were not the Edit notifications would take you to the parent customer and you would have to change the settings there. You will also have the option to switch the customer to send notifications to themselves, you can then set the notifications on the customer directly.
